John Strickland, Esq.

Attorney

John Strickland grew up in the suburbs of Houston and attended Rice University before receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from Yale Law School.  After graduating from law school, John pursued a variety of educational and professional opportunities, both within and outside the legal profession.

Among other things, John spent several years teaching business law courses at UCLA Extension, a public continuing education institution on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles.

His prior experience as an attorney includes working in the corporate transactions section in the Houston office of a large international law firm where he gained specialized knowledge in corporate finance matters.  Having had the personal experience of serving as his disabled aunt’s legal guardian for the last nine years of her life, John began working in a disability law practice after taking time away from the practice of law to explore other interests.

Now working at Robbins Estate Law, John uses his wide range of personal and professional experience to assist in the firm’s probate practice as well as estate planning matters.  He takes pride in diligently and compassionately guiding families through every step of the probate process.  With a professional background and interest in finance, he appreciates the opportunity to assist in developing estate plans for clients that address their specific financial goals and the needs of their family.

Outside of work, John enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including running and hiking. Born and raised in Texas, he has an affection for country music, two-stepping, and line dancing.
